Rhoose Ski Race 2009 - Results

Held in near-perfect conditions, the Rhoose Ski Race, Round 1 of the GB Ocean Ski Series, saw paddlers from across the UK competing at Fontygary Bay, Vale of Glamorgan on Sunday May 10th 2009. Organised by Rhoose Lifeguards, the race consisted of various distance ocean courses ranging from 1.5 miles for Under 16, to 6 miles for Under 19, Masters, Doubles, and 8 miles for Seniors. Attracting over 60 entrants, the race was held in flat, calm conditions, with an easterly wind of 6-9 mph and temperatures reaching 17C.

Rhoose Lifeguards would like to thank all those that took part, club members for helping out, SLSA Wales for providing IRB cover and to the many friends and supporters that donated raffle prizes.
