Nippers celebrate their fantastic season with a fun night and BBQ

As part of the clubs 40th year . The Nipper section of the club celebrated their fantastic results this year by holding a fun night and BBQ last Friday at Barry Island. With over 50 Nippers on the beach they took on an impressive team of Mums and Dads in carnival favourites of Flags, Relays and Wade.Unfortunately the Nippers had obviously worn themselves out over the summer as the parents team beat the Nippers in every challenging event. Ha! Ha!.

I was amazed with some of the speeds reached by Mums and Dads in the relays and the agility of springing up off the beach in flags. ( I bet the chemists in and around the Vale ran out of pain killers on Sat morning )

A great deal of fun was had by all and I am very gratefull to all the parents for the support on the night not only for taking part but also the help with the cooking and giving out the food and drink.

It goes without saying that your Nipper section is one of the strongest supported in G.B. and with all of Rhoose lifeguards also doing so well you are all ensuring that the success story of the club will be around for another 40 years.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank the Nippers for their continued enthusiasm and efforts representing the club, for the coaching team that are invaluable to me and the children  and finally to the parents who ferry their children all over the country in the support of their development and the success of :-
