A the recent GB Youth Stillwater Championships held in Cardiff, several Rhoose members set new British records.
Congratulations to Lauren Williamson (U13 Manikin Tow) and Kathryn Gardner, Lauren Blake, Lauren Williamson and Rachael Richards (U14 Medley Relay) who set new BRITISH RECORDS for their events!!!

At the recent GB Stillwater Championships held in Cardiff, Rhoose Nipper and Junior teams both performed magnificently and came 5th in the team competitions.
Well done to all those that took part, and thanks to parents and helpers that helped out on the day.

Rhoose Lifeguard Fund Raising evening a huge success |

On Saturday 13th February Rhoose Lifeguards celebrated the Year of the Tiger with a Chinese New Year Dinner and entertainment evening at the Stewart Road Community Centre in Rhoose.
The evening was a huge success with entertainment provided by the fantastic Magician and Entertainer Mr Frank E Haschka.http://www.rightbeforeyoureyes.co.uk who provided close up table magic and an on stage act throughout the evening.
The members enjoyed a Alcoholic punch or soft drink on arrival with a full, silver service sit down three coarse Chinese meal and Bar, provided by the members of Rhoose fundraising committee and their friends.
As well as the show and entertainment by Frank, the children were entertained with a disco and games throughout the evening by Tim and Gregg.
Tickets for the event sold out quickly and the event attracted over 100 guests. The club would like to thank Sian,Steve,Lauren, Rachel, Tim, Rhona, Gregg, Theresa, Wendy and Lucy. Also a big thanks to Frank and everyone who supported and help make the evening a great success. |

WELSH STILLWATERS - RHOOSE WIN WILKINSON SWORD!!
How about that - holders of BOTH the OCEAN and STILLWATER SWORDS and the SUPERCLUB TROPHY!!
After two days of competition at Swansea, the Rhoose team were overall Welsh Stillwater Champions. With 2nd place in the Youth, 2nd in the Seniors and 3rd in the Masters, Rhoose won the overall trophy. Results were:
YOUTH: 5th - Heanor - 686 pts 4th - Rest Bay - 719 pts 3rd - Pen-y-bont - 1042 pts 2nd - Rhoose - 1528 pts 1st - Mumbles - 1630 pts
SENIORS: 5th - Aberavon - 195 pts 4th - Llanelli - 229 pts 3rd - Langland - 429 pts 2nd - Rhoose - 529 pts 1st - Pen-y-Bont - 559 pts
MASTERS: 5th Rest Bay - 394 pts 4th Pen-y-Bont - 415 pts 3rd Rhoose - 499 pts 2nd Mumbles - 532 pts 1st Langland - 550 pts
OVERALL: 7th Llanelli 6th Aberavon 5th Rest Bay 4th Langland Joint 2nd - Mumbles & Pen-yBont 1st - RHOOSE
A BIG congratulations to all those that competed , especially those that doubled up in individual, pairs and team events. Many thanks to all the parents that came along to support and help out poolside, and to the coaches. A special thanks to Lee Perry for doing such a fine job managing the team
