 Nipper Training weekend

Once again the Rhoose Nipper section and families went camping at Kenexstone Farm, near Llangennith last Friday June 19th and Saturday June 20th and all the Nippers and their famillies had a fantastic weekend.

llangenith2010_0842010_096

After arriving on Friday evening with glorious sunshine, the adults chilled out with beer and wine while the Nippers explored and played games. Saturday was spent with activities and riding the surf at Llangennith Beach with lots of Slip, Slap, Slop as the weather was fantastic. Saturday evening was spent chilling and socialising with a huge game of football and Marsh Mallows cremated over the B.B.Q. by the Nippers.

Sunday the Club members participated in the Mumbles Carnival at Casswell bay and had a great day comming overal 3rd which is a fantastic result for a travelling team.

The Club would like to thank all involved for supporting the weekend.

I would also like to thank the parents and coaches for taking the time to support and attend the weekend to give the children the opportunity to experience  family and club activity's that us older members used to enjoy when we were younger.

Rhoose Lifeguards get a New Board Trailer
Wednesday, 30 June 2010 14:25

Rhoose Lifeguards has been very fortunate to be able to purchase a new Board Trailer with the money raised by one of its Coaches Mr Steve Baron during his fantastic achievement of running and completing the Cardiff Half Marathon. Along with his sponsorship, Steve also gained support from his employer A.X.A. Insurance with a donation for his achievements.

The balance of the funding was gained from another very generous donation from The Co-Operative Foundation through the hard work of our fundraiser Sian Baron.

This trailer will allow safety equipment and craft to be transported around the country to various activities and events currently being carried out by the members of the club.

Rhoose Lifeguards is one of the fastest developing clubs in Surf Lifesaving and Craft and Equipment sponsorship like the above is a fantastic support to the young members from the age of 7yrs through to 18yrs old to enable them to progress and develop through the clubs excellent activities and provide the safest training equipment and enviroment the club can offer.

The Club and its members would like to send a big thanks to Steve, AXA and The Co-Operative Foundation for their

very generous support of Rhoose Lifeguards
